PAINTING POWER IN NATIONAL PARK
Painting Contractor in National Park
Despite its name, National Park isn't a national park. It was developed in 1895 as "National Park on the Delaware," a Methodist religious retreat started by James E. Lake, who also founded Ocean City. The area was historically called Red Bank, for the color of its soil, and in October 1777 Continental troops at Fort Mercer here drove back an attack by Hessian troops in the Battle of Red Bank.
The borough, formed from West Deptford in 1902, faces south Philadelphia and Fort Mifflin across the Delaware River. It's small, about 3,000 residents, and Painting Power paints homes throughout it.
LOCAL HOMES
Small Riverside Borough Homes
National Park is almost entirely residential, with older homes on compact lots, many of them decades old. River exposure means wind, humidity and damp mornings that are hard on exterior paint, so prep and timing matter. Inside, owners usually want fresh colors, trim and door updates, smooth ceilings and painted cabinets.
Weather and Exterior Paint in National Park
Homes near the river and creeks get more wind, humidity and heavy morning dew than properties a few miles inland. We schedule exterior coats so they have time to dry before evening dew settles, and we check shaded north sides for mildew, which has to be washed off and treated before any paint goes on.
SERVICES
Painting Services We Offer in National Park
- Exterior painting: siding, trim, doors, shutters, porches and railings. Deck and fence staining is part of our exterior work.
- Interior painting: walls, ceilings, trim, doors and stairways, with floors and furniture covered before any prep starts.
- Cabinet painting: kitchen and bath cabinets are cleaned, sanded and primed, then finished with cabinet-grade coatings instead of wall paint.
- Popcorn ceiling removal: we remove the texture, skim and sand the ceiling smooth, then prime and paint it.
- Wallpaper removal: we take off the paper and the adhesive, repair the wall and prime it so the new paint lays flat.
- Commercial painting: offices, storefronts, rental units and common areas, scheduled around your business hours.

Does living on the Delaware affect how long exterior paint lasts?
Wind and humidity can shorten paint life on exposed sides. Good prep, proper primers and painting only on dry surfaces make a big difference.

Do you remove popcorn ceilings?
Yes. Have older texture tested for asbestos first. After that, we remove it, smooth the ceiling and paint.
