PAINTING POWER IN SWEDESBORO
Painting Services in Swedesboro
Swedesboro takes its name from the Swedish and Finnish settlers who fished, hunted and farmed along Raccoon Creek. Trinity Episcopal "Old Swedes" Church was founded as a Swedish Lutheran congregation in 1703, and its current building dates to 1784. The colonial King's Highway, built in 1691, brought more settlers, and Raccoon Creek was navigable for shipping produce to Philadelphia through the late 1800s.
Swedesboro became a borough in 1902, reached its highest population, about 2,700, in 2020, and has been a Tree City USA since 2000. Painting Power paints homes and small businesses throughout the borough.
LOCAL HOMES
Old Town Homes Under Mature Trees
Swedesboro's historic center has older homes and storefronts with wood siding, porches and traditional trim, shaded by mature street trees. That combination calls for careful scraping, priming and caulking, attention to mildew on shaded walls, and lead-safe practices on older paint. Newer homes around the borough usually need interior color updates, painted cabinets and trim refreshes.
Weather and Exterior Paint in Swedesboro
Older wood siding, trim and window sashes expand and contract through humid South Jersey summers and freezing winters. That movement opens joints and cracks old paint. Lasting results on these homes come from scraping to sound paint, priming bare wood and re-caulking open seams. If your home was built before 1978, bring that up at the estimate: federal EPA lead-safe rules apply when old painted surfaces are disturbed.
