PAINTING POWER IN WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP
Painting Contractor for Washington Township
Washington Township was formed from part of Deptford Township in 1836 and moved between Gloucester and Camden counties before settling back in Gloucester County in 1871. With nearly 49,000 residents in 2020, it's Gloucester County's most populous municipality. The township grew outward from a few separate housing areas in the 1960s, including Wedgwood, Whitman Square, the Birches and Hurffville, into the connected suburb it is today.
Painting Power is based close by in the Sewell area and serves all of Washington Township: Turnersville, Grenloch, Hurffville, Bells Lake, Cressville, Fairview, Green Tree, Mount Pleasant and the neighborhoods around Washington Lake Park and the TD Bank Arts Centre.
LOCAL HOMES
Decades of Subdivisions Due for Updates
Most homes in Washington Township were built in subdivision waves from the 1960s onward, so many neighborhoods are due for the same kinds of updates. We often replace tired colors and flat builder paint with washable finishes, paint oak cabinets and trim, remove wallpaper and popcorn ceilings, and restore faded exterior trim, doors and shutters. Decks and fences here also need regular staining.
Weather and Exterior Paint in Washington Township
Open subdivision streets leave south- and west-facing walls in full summer sun, and that fades color and breaks down paint faster than on shaded sides. We plan the day so we paint each side out of direct sun when we can. On vinyl siding we recommend vinyl-safe colors, because a much darker color can absorb enough heat to warp the panels.
